Anniversary

Want to find this darkling (darkly),

Tell me what, I’ll suit you (partly)

Look at her (she stares so starkly),

‘Encantada’(whispers to me)

Don’t go now (you whisper through me),

Suck the sugar (sweet and cubey),

Opposites in flesh.

Your mammograms are deaf.

What I leave is breath.

Threats. (And dying flowers),

Die some more (you’re taking hours)

Spike me now (corrosive coward),

SantorinI’s sunlight power

Fails you.

Chrysalis in coffin.

Fire’s got a log in.

Mindfulness and jogging.

One more trip around the sun,

And then we’re done (and then we’re done),

One more trip by the moss-wet sun

Sparking.

Agenbite.

Hogmanay drums.
